Recruiting Coordinator

Summary: The Recruiting Coordinator is an ambitious and enthusiastic individual responsible for the execution of productive recruiting strategies as well as other human resources functions. The position will involve building applicant pools through both internal and external sourcing methods and facilitating the process from need identification through onboarding.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to keep current, accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria and to maintain quarterly and annual hiring needs by department.
  • Responsible for job posting and advertisements on various medias including internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards and staffing partners.
  • Perform recruiting activities such as screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and preparing interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Respond timely to applicant situations and inquiries in-person, over the phone, and via email and provide feedback to management.
  • Facilitate and participate in the interview process as required.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and HR to produce employment offers and communicate with candidates through the selection process.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new hires, including completing paperwork and required documentation.
  • Organize and participate in college job fairs and recruiting events as needed.
  • Communicate and effectively “sell” an organization’s value proposition and foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
  • Collaborate toward building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization.
  • Work with third party recruiters as necessary.
  • Track and maintain recruiting database and metrics.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, with two years of human resources or recruiting experience preferred.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles using various recruiting techniques, including online/social media, professional networks, and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Prior experience recruiting within the A/E/C industry is a plus.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative and interact with employees at all levels in order to gain deep insight into the needs of the company.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a busy, fast-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • General understanding of benefits, payroll, EEOC topics, etc.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Paylocity, and/or related software.
  • Utilize platforms such as Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn.
