Civil Engineer Practice Leader
RaganSmith is seeking a full-time senior level Civil Engineer Practice Leader based in our Murfreesboro office. The Practice Leader will oversee the project design, client communication, permitting, and management on a wide range of commercial and residential development projects. This position will be responsible for expanding the civil practice and collaborating in-house with other civil engineers, landscape architects, and land surveyors to assist our clients in developing public and private projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts to expand practice locally
- Oversee day to day operations of the department, including design of land development projects and managing office staff
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Manage clients and the internal team to ensure all project goals and deadlines are met
- Supervise project lifecycles from conception to completion
- Coordinate business development with other internal departments and offices
- Create and adhere to budgets, projections and forecasting
- Serve as subject matter expert in site design
- Additional related duties as needed
Requirements
- Active PE license
- 10-15+ years of proven experience in site design
- 5+ years of previous employee management experience
- Self-motivated, team-oriented individual
- Strong communication skills
- AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
