On October 12, 2017 Ragan-Smith received 2 TAPA awards. One for the “Downtown Murfreesboro Planning Studies” in the Outstanding Plan category for communities with populations over 50,000. The second was for “Lowry Street Revitalization Overlay Plan” in the Outstanding Plan category for communities with populations under 50,000.

Ragan-Smith Selected by TDOT for 4-Year On-Call Contract with the Local Programs Development Office
Ragan-Smith has been selected for the 4-Year contract to provide Project Management, Engineering Review and Oversight Management Statewide with the TDOT Local Programs Development Office. Ragan-Smith will be the only Consultant Team serving in this capacity for TDOT over the Term of the Contract.

The combined TN Engineers’ Conference for ASCE, ACEC & TSPE, held on September 25th-26th, 2014 at the Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro, yielded a significant award for Ragan-Smith’s own George Welch.
Chattanooga Low Impact Development Design Challenge
Ragan-Smith participated in the Chattanooga Low Impact Development (LID) Design Challenge, partnering with URS and Kennon | Calhoun Workshop. Our team submitted on two of the four projects and received 1st place on the Bonny Oaks entry and 3rd place on the Cherokee Blvd entry at the Final Awards Program on July 10, 2014.
Annual Tennessee Municipal League Conference
Ragan-Smith participated in the 75th Annual Tennessee Municipal League Conference held in Chattanooga, June 21st-24th. The event was well attended and we were privileged to meet some great folks from the Towns and Cities all over Tennessee.
Annual Habitat for Humanity build with Ragan-Smith
On March 29, 2014, the Ragan-Smith team participated in our 5th annual Habitat for Humanity build. We had 25 volunteers show up for what turned out to be a real soaker of a day.
